The State Government of India's state of West Bengal has declared a half-day non-working public holiday on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, on the occasion of Chhat Puja celebrations.
The aforementioned announcement of a non-working public holiday on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, on the occasion of Chhat Puja ("It is gathered that Chhat Puja will be celebrated this year on 13th and 14th November, 2018. The State Government has already declared holiday on 13th November, 2018 (Tuesday) for State Government Offices, Boards, Corporations, Undertakings and Educational Institutions all over the State vide Notification No. 6006-F(P2) dated 22-09- 2017. In view of this, the Governor, in continuation of this Department Notification No. 6007-F(P2) dated 22-09-2017, is pleased to further declare 14th November, 2018 (Wednesday) as a Sectional holiday for Chhat Puja celebrations."), thus further amends (2018-09-13 and 2018-04-01) the previously-released list of West Bengal non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2018 (2017-09-22), as announced in the Government Notice No. 6005-F(P2)/FA/O/1H-04/12, dated, 22nd September, 2017.
