Zimbabwe's Home Affairs Ministers has gazetted the annual announcement of the dates for the 2019 non-working public holidays in Zimbabwe in terms of the Zimbabwe Public Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act (Chapter 10:21).

The aforementioned announcement of the dates for the 2019 non-working public holidays in Zimbabwe, as usual (2017-09-02, 2016-09-18, 2015-08-31, 2014-07-28, 2013-06-29, 2013-02-04 and 2012-08-01), does not include any special public holidays that the President has the power to declare ("This list does not include any days which the President may declare to be public holidays in terms of Section 2 (2) of the Public Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act (Chapter 10:21),").

Last year (2017-09-02), the list of the dates for the 2018 non-working public holidays in Zimbabwe did not include the then recent announcement (2017-08-19) by Zimbabwe's Home Affairs Minister, Ignatius Chombo, that the government of Zimbabwe had amended the annual list of non-working public holidays in Zimbabwe by declaring February 21 as Robert Gabriel Mugabe National Youth Day, a new annual non-working public holiday in Zimbabwe, in honour of Robert Mugabe.

This new annual non-working public holiday of Zimbabwe, on February 21, has, in the mean time (2018-02-20 and 2017-11-22) been confirmed and is included in the aforementioned list of the dates for the 2019 non-working public holidays in Zimbabwe in terms of the Zimbabwe Public Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act (Chapter 10:21).
