Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee and Religious Affairs Committee has announced that the moon of the month of Rajab had been sighted in Bangladesh's sky yesterday and therefore that the Lailatul Meraj would be observed on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
As per custom (2015-05-20, 2014-05-29 and 2013-06-10), the aforementioned announcement should be followed next month by an announcement by Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee and Religious Affairs Committee concerning the moon of the month of Shaban and therefore the date of the upcoming Shab-e-Barat (night of fortune and forgiveness), which according to the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Bangladesh for the calendar year 2019, as approved as the official list of non-working 2019 public holidays in Bangladesh, last fall (2018-10-30), is set to occur on April 21, 2019.
