Benin's Minister of Labour and Social Security, Adidjatou Mathys, has issued a communique announcing that the government of Bénin had declared Friday, November 1, 2019, as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming "célébration de la fête du Toussaint" annual non-working public holiday in the Bénin.
The aforementioned declaration of Friday, November 1, 2019, as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming All Saints Day annual non-working public holidays in the Bénin was made in the radio announcement n°023 / MTFP / DC / SGM / DGT / DRPDS / SRI ("La journée du vendredi 1er novembre 2019 est déclarée fériée, chômée sur toute l’étendue du territoire national. Cette décision a été prise en vue de se conformer aux dispositions de la loi n°90-019 du 27 juillet 1990 fixant les fêtes légales en République du Bénin").
As on previous occasions (2019-08-13, 2019-08-09, 2019-06-06, 2019-06-03, 2019-05-27), the declaration of Friday, November 1, 2019, as a non-working public holiday in the Benin is in line with the previously-announced list of annual non-working public holidays in the Benin for the calendar year 2019, as announced by the government of Benin, earlier this year (2019-01-16), as well as with the "loi n°90-019 du 27 juillet 1990 fixant les fêtes légales en République du Bénin".
