Bolivia's Ministry of Labour has issued a communiqué announcing that Tuesday, August 6, 2019, would be observed as an official non-working public holiday to commemorate the "Día de la Patria" ("con suspensión de actividades públicas y privadas en todo el territorio del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia").
The aforementioned announcement that Tuesday, August 6, 2019, would be observed as an official non-working public holiday is completed by the declaration of a compacted working day, on Monday, August 5, 2019 ("El Ministerio de Trabajo comunica a la población que el día lunes 5 de agosto del presente año se dispone jornada continua de trabajo de 8:00 a 16:00 para la administración pública"), is in line with past practice in Bolivia (2017-08-03, 2017-07-12, 2017-01-06).
