The Government of India's Union Territory of Chandigarh has amended the list of of the non-working public holidays in India's UT of Chandigarh for the calendar year 2019, by declaring, Monday, November 11, 2019, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Chandigarh ("To celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev").
The aforementioned declaration of a one-off non-working public holiday in Chandigarh, on Monday, November 11, 2019, is in addition to the annual notification (2017-12-17 and 2016-12-08) of the annual list of the days which were to be non-working public holidays in India's Union Territory of Chandigarh for the calendar year 2019, as contained in the Notification 6/1/1-IH(I)-2018/26150 issued by the Chandigarh Administration Home Department.
Note that neighboring Punjab also declared Monday, November 11, 2019, as a one-off non-working public holiday (2019-11-08), creating a 4-day weekend in both cases.
