    The Ministry of the Interior, Justice, and Decentralization of Honduras has announced that, as per instructions of the Presidency of the Republic, the Government is granting a half-day public sector holiday, starting at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, on account of the celebration of the Virgin of Suyapa.

    As per the aforementioned announcement, "In light of the above and given that this is a date of utmost importance for the Catholic faithful, as it commemorates the discovery of the Virgin of Suyapa, it has been decided to grant a half-day holiday starting at noon (12:00 pm) to all officials and employees of the Public Administration, so that they may participate in the activities in honor of this religious festival".
