Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, has announced that Thursday, January 24, 2019, had been declared as a non-working official public holiday in Egypt for employees of the country’s private and public sectors, to mark both the eighth anniversary of the 2011 revolution and Egypt's Police Day.

The aforementioned announcement that Thursday, January 24, 2019, has been declared a public holiday in Egypt, is in addition to the recently-announced list of annual non-working public holidays in Egypt for the calendar year 2019 (2019-01-16).
