The Government of India's state of Kerala has announced that the upcoming annual public holiday for Bakrid (the Feast of Sacrifice), previously declared for Sunday, August 11, 2019, would instead be observed on Monday, August 12, 2019, as is the case for most other Indian states, except Goa.
The Government of India's state of Kerala had announced its annual list of the days which were to be non-working public holidays in India's state of Kerala for the calendar year 2019, in a G.O.(P), signed on behalf of the Governor last autumn (2018-10-20), as in previous years (2017-10-13, 2016-11-17, 2014-11-04, 2010-10-04).
This is not a day in lieu, but rather a change of date of the upcoming annual public holiday for Bakrid (the Feast of Sacrifice), as the text of the aforementioned government order makes it amply clear ("Establishments, which consider Sunday as a normal working day, will function on August 11").
