The Government of India's state of Puducherry has declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, January 14, 2019, for Bhogi Day, thus extending the upcoming Pongal non-working public holidays of the Indian state of Puducherry to five consecutive days.
The aforementioned announcement, that India's state of Puducherry had declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, January 14, 2019, for Bhogi Day, thus amends the Government of India's State of Puducherry's announced list of official state non-working public holidays in India's State of Puducherry for the calendar year 2019, as released last autumn (28-Oct-2018). As compensation, Saturday, February 2, 2019, will be a regular working day.
Recall that, yesterday (08-Jan-2019), the Government of India's state of Tamil Nadu declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, January 14, 2019, thus extending the upcoming Pongal non-working public holidays of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu to six consecutive days.
