The Government of India's state of Puducherry has declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, April 18, 2019, on account of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The aforementioned announcement, that India's state of Puducherry had declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, April 18, 2019, on account of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, thus amends, again (2019-01-09), the Government of India's State of Puducherry's announced list of official state non-working public holidays in India's State of Puducherry for the calendar year 2019, as released last autumn (2018-10-28). As compensation, Saturday, February 2, 2019, will be a regular working day.

Recall that, yesterday (2019-03-27), the Government of India's state of Tamil Nadu similarly declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, April 18, 2019, on account of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
