Earlier today, the Government of India's state of Punjab, via Governor, VP Singh Badnore, once again amended the list of of the non-working public holidays in India's state of Punjab for the calendar year 2019, by declaring, Monday, November 11, 2019, as a one-off non-working public holiday in India's state of Punjab ("in view of the 550th Parkash Purb celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, gazetted holiday has been declared in all governement offices, boards, corporations and educational institutions").

Note that the annual Birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji public holiday of the Indian state of the Punjab, will occur on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, meaning a 4-day weekend of public holidays in the Punjab.

The aforementioned notification of Monday, November 11, 2019, as a one-off non-working public holiday in India's state of Punjab, thus further amends (2019-08-07) the "annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2019", which were contained in a notification issued by the Government of Punjab, covering Government Holidays and Restricted Holidays late last year (2018-12-23).

This is the second time, this year, that the list of annual public holidays in India's Sate of Punjab has been amended, in marked contrast to last year, when the list of Punjab 2018 public holidays, contained in the Notification No.6/7/2017-2PP3/S91 (2017-12-28), was amended multiple times (2018-12-27, 2018-11-03, 2018-10-08, 2018-09-17, 2018-09-08, 2018-08-14, 2018-06-28).
