The Government of Kazakhstan has announced that August 11 and August 30, 2019, would be non-working public holidays in Kazakhstan, during the month of August 2019, on account of the upcoming Kurban-Ait and Constitution Day annual non-working public holiday of Kazakhstan, but that no day in lieu public holidays would be given for either of these 2 public holidays on the following Monday.
Today's announcement that no day in lieu public holidays would be given for either the upcoming Kurban-Ait or Constitution Day annual non-working public holiday of Kazakhstan, on the following Monday, is in line with the previously-released annual list of 2019 public holidays in Kazakhstan (2018-11-14), as Orthodox Christmas and Kurban Ait are neither state nor national holidays, and therefore not covered by the law "On holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
