The Ministry of Labour and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced that Sunday, August 11, 2019, would be the date of the upcoming annual non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan on account of the Kurman Ait (Feast of Sacrifice) annual public holiday of Kyrgyzstan, for the calendar year 2019.
The aforementioned announcement that Sunday, August 11, 2019, would be the date of the upcoming annual non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan on account of the 2019 Kurman Ait (Feast of Sacrifice) annual public holiday of Kyrgyzstan, was supplemented by the announcement that "in accordance with Article 113 of the Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, Articles 10 and 17 of the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic”, the rest day of August 11 is postponed to August 12, Monday".
Both announcements are in line with the calendar of annual non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2019, announced late last year (2018-12-21 and 2018-12-06).
The Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan also re-iterated (2019-05-13), that there would be no day in lieu public holiday, on September 2, 2019, to compensate the fact that the 2019 Independence Day public holiday of Kyrgyzstan falls on a weekend, as that day in lieu was shifted in an earlier decree to January 4, 2019.
