The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Muhammedkaly Abylgaziev, has signed a decree officializing the previously-announced list of non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2020 (постановление правительства о переносе выходных дней в целях рационального использования работниками выходных и нерабочих праздничных дней в 2020 году).

The Prime Minister's decree confirms all aspects of last October's (2019-10-15), resolution by the he Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic listing the non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2020 "On the transfer of the weekend in 2020", including the declaration of bridge public holidays compensated by a nearby weekend working days ("In order to rationally use the days off and non-working holidays, the government has the right to postpone the days off to other days").

The list of non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2020, including the declaration of bridge public holidays compensated by a nearby weekend working days does, as in recent years, declare all bridge public holidays in Kyrgyzstan in 2020, compensated by a nearby weekend working days, before the year in question begins (2018-12-21, 2018-12-06, 2017-12-04, 2017-12-01, 2016-12-14 and 2016-11-26).

In the years before that, the initial declaration of the annual public holidays in Kyrgyzstan for the then upcoming calendar year (2015-12-24, 2015-12-09, 2015-07-14, 2013-12-22, 2013-01-04, 2012-03-14 and 2011-01-01), was often followed by the piecemeal declaration of one-off bridge non-working public holidays throughout the year, compensated by declaring a weekend day as a regular working day (2016-04-20, 2016-02-16, 2015-12-24, 2014-12-26, 2013-04-28, 2011-12-31, 2010-11-11, 2010-08-25, 2010-02-15, 2009-12-11, 2008-12-19 and 2007-12-27).
