Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has released its annual list of official non-working public holidays in Macedonia and Macedonian bank holidays for the upcoming calendar year 2020 ("Programa na nerabotni denovi za 2020 godina" - Програма на неработни денови за 2020 година).
Contrary to what was the case in some years (2016-10-22 and 2015-01-05), a second day of public holiday in Macedonia has not been added for the Ramazan Bajram (End of Ramadan) non-working public holiday of Macedonia in 2020, even though the Ramazan Bajram in 2020 occurs on the same date as the St. Cyril and Methodius' Day of the Slavic Enlighteners annual public holiday of Macedonia.
As always, in addition to the 11 general public holidays listed in the aforementioned announcement, there are sectorial holidays that may be taken by: citizens of Orthodox religion, Catholic religion, Muslim religion, the Albanian community, the Serb community, the Roma community, the Vlach community, the Jewish community, the Bosniak community, and the Turkish community.
