The Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry And Labour has updated its previously-released quadrennial list of the official non-working public holidays in Samoa for the calendar years 2015-2019, with the addition of the public holidays dates in Samoa for the calendar years 2020-2021-2022-2023 ("Public Holidays Calendar: 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023").
The previous quadrennial list of the official non-working public holidays in Samoa was issued a couple of years ago (2014-04-20) as an update to the list of public holidays in Samoa as released the Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry And Labour 4 years before (2011-09-06), and was updated 3 years ago with the addition of the 2019 public holidays in Samoa (2016-12-28).
The aforementioned announcement, as always, states that "The Public Holidays Act 2008 ('PHA 2008') stipulates that a SHOP may open during any Public Holiday as listed above or any declarations by the Head of State on the advice of Cabinet from time to time. Schools and places of employment shall be closed for all operations except the 'exempted services' as outlined in the PHA 2008." and that "The employers and workers are to comply with the Labour and Employment Relations Act 2013 for any work carried out during the Public Holidays".
