The National Moon-Sighting Commission of Sénégal (Commission nationale d'observation du croissant lunaire - CNOCL) has announced that the upcoming Tabaski (Aid el Kébir, aka. Feast of Sacrifice) annual non-working public holiday of Senegal would be on Monday, August 12, 2019.
Contrary to what often happens (2015-09-17, 2014-09-26, 2013-10-09, 2011-08-30 and 2007-12-18), all Senegalese Muslim communities, including the Coordination des musulmans de Dakar, have announced that they would follow the recommendations of the CNOCL, although these are not in agreement with the date announced by Saudi Arabia, this year.
