South Australian 2021 Public Holidays Released

The Government of the Australian State of South Australia has released its annual list of official non-working public holidays in the Australian State of South Australia for the calendar year 2021, including the current status of Adelaide Cup public holiday.

The aforementioned list of official non-working public holidays in the Australian State of South Australia for the calendar year 2021 follows another quiet year (2018-01-07, 2017-01-11, 2016-01-09, 2015-01-12 and 2014-01-11) in terms of public holidays changes, as compared to the preceding ones (2013-02-13, 2012-12-10, 2012-09-13, 2012-07-23, and 2012-03-22, and 2012-03-04).

The aforementioned announcement of South Australian public holidays for 2021, states that the 2021 date for the Adelaide Cup Day, aka. March public holiday, is subject to proclamation as ("2. Since 2006 this public holiday has been changed by Proclamation from the third Monday in May to the second Monday in March to coincide with the change in date of the Adelaide Cup horse race and in support of other major events on the same weekend. A proclamation is effective until 2020.").
