The Consejo de Gobierno de la Comunidad de Madrid has announced that the regional government of Spain's autonomous region of Madrid had approved the annual list of official 2020 non-working public holidays (calendario laboral) in Spain's Autonomous Comunidad de Madrid.
As per the aforementioned announcement ("Decreto 240/2019, de 24 de septiembre, de la Comunidad de Madrid, del Consejo de Gobierno, por el que se establecen las fiestas laborables para el año 2020 en la Comunidad de Madrid" - BOCM de 26 de septiembre de 2019), the San José public holiday whose appearance over the years has been on (2016-09-20, 2014-09-18, 2012-09-23 and 2011-09-16) and off (2018-09-25, 2017-09-26, 2015-09-22, 2013-09-27 and 2007-09-30), will not be one of the official 2020 non-working public holidays in Spain's Autonomous Comunidad de Madrid, and neither will the oft celebrated Corpus Christi (2013-09-27, 2010-09-12, 2009-10-07 and 2008-09-26).
Instead, there will be one-off public holidays on November 2 and December 7, 2019, in Spain's autonomous region of Madrid.
Finally, in addition to the aforementioned regional public holidays in the autonomous region of Madrid, the city of Madrid itself observes May 15 (San Isidro) and November 9 (La Almudena) as municipal public holidays.
