The government of Suriname announced that the upcoming "Ied-Ul-Fitr" (End of Ramadan) annual non-working public holiday in Suriname would be observed on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, a date which has been declared a non-working public holiday in Suriname.

The aforementioned announcement that the upcoming upcoming "Ied-Ul-Fitr" (End of Ramadan) annual non-working public holiday in Suriname will be observed on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, is in line with the annual list of expected bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Suriname dates for the calendar year 2019, released earlier this year (2019-01-14).
