The UAE Goverment has tweeted an updated list of approved public holidays in the UAE for the remainder of 2019 and all of the upcoming calendar year 2020.

Then, last month (2019-09-08), the UAE's Federal Authority For Government Human Resources had already announced a revision to its annual list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE for the calendar years 2019 and 2020, as announced last March (2019-03-05), when the UAE government announced its annual list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE for the calendar years 2019 and 2020, in one fell swoop, contrary to the usual annual announcements (2018-01-08, 2017-01-03, 2015-12-26, 2015-01-04, 2014-01-07 and 2012-12-29) of the list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE, one year at the time.

That initial announcement brought the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE private sector in line with the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE public sector, as well as canceling the UAE public holiday for the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which was brought back as a UAE public holiday in 2019, in last month's announcement.
