The Government of the Ukraine has gazetted the full list of public holidays in the Ukraine, in the calendar year 2020, including transfer weekdays, in the Cabinet of the Ministers of the Ukraine Order О переносе рабочих дней в 2020 году КМ Украины Распоряжение КМ от 23.10.2019 № 995-рдействует с 23.10.2019, signed by Ukrainian Prime Minister O. Goncharuk.

This past summer (2019-08-09), Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy had published a list of 2020 non-working public holidays in the Ukraine, which did not address an earlier draft resolution (2019-08-06) which included a decision to postpone a working day in 2020, in order to create favorable conditions for the rational use of working time, which, as was done in the past (2019-01-10, 2018-01-11, 2017-12-08, 2016-11-15, 2016-08-17, 2015-11-12, 2014-11-17, 2014-11-13, 2013-11-21, 2012-05-30, 2012-04-23, 2012-03-01, 2011-06-20, 2011-02-24, 2010-08-13, 2008-12-10, 2007-11-29, and 2005-12-23), would have that additional one-off bridge public holiday in the Ukraine in 2020, compensated by a corresponding working Saturday.

But, then, earlier this month (2019-10-02), the Government of the Ukraine approved the aforementioned draft moving some working days to a nearby weekend to rationalize the range of public holidays in the Ukraine in the calendar year 2020.

As usual, the banking sector is left to determine its own list of bank holidays for the Ukraine for 2020 ("Спеціальний режим роботи банків і їх установ у зазначений день встановлює Національний банк").
