The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has signed a decree "On the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the postponement of holidays in 2020" ("Об установлении дополнительных нерабочих дней в период празднования официальных дат и переносе выходных дней в 2020 году") which lists all official public holidays in Uzbekistan for the upcoming calendar year 2020, both the annual public holidays of Uzbekistan and the one-off public holidays for 2020.

For the past 2 years (2018-11-14 and 2017-12-28), announcements of public holidays, as well as bridge public holidays in Uzbekistan, have been made before the beginning of the concerned calendar years, as opposed to preceding years, when the announcements of one-off public holidays in Uzbekistan was made on a case-by-case basis (2017-08-24, 2017-06-24, 2017-05-02, 2017-03-16, 2016-12-29, 2016-08-26, 2016-02-12,...).

Today's decree "Об установлении дополнительных нерабочих дней в период празднования официальных дат и переносе выходных дней в 2020 году", declares 3 one-off non-working public holidays in 2020 in Uzbekistan, in January, March and August, and may yet be amended on the occasion of Muslim public holidays, as was the case in the past (2019-08-18 and 2019-05-29).
