The Office of the President of Vanuatu has issued a statement, once again ruling-out the declaration of Thursday, January 2, 2020, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Vanuatu ("The office of president has not received any request from the national government to declare Thursday as public holiday. Therefore Thursday is not a public holiday").
The declaration of Thursday, January 2, 2020, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Vanuatu, would have amended the yet to be released list of 2020 public holidays in Vanuatu, as was done in the past (2016-12-17), but not all years (2018-12-30).
