The government of Bangladesh has declared non-working public holidays from March 26 to April 4, 2020, for both the public and private sectors, as part of its measures to slow the spread of the Covid19 virus.
The declaration of March 26 to April 4, 2020, as additional non-working public holidays in Bangladesh thus amends the announced list of non-working public holidays in Bangladesh in 2020, which was released last fall by the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (2019-11-25 and 2019-10-29).
In a separate, subsequent, statement by an official of the Bangladesh Bank, banks will remain open during the March 26 to April 4, 2020, public holidays declared by the government, "to facilitate the financial transaction for their clients".
