The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) has announced that Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, 2020, would be public holidays in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on account of the upcoming International Labor Day public holiday of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Even though Saturday, May 2, 2020, falls on a weekend day in 2020, no additional public holiday was declared on Monday, May 4, 2020, by the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina, contrary to what was done a couple of months ago (2020-02-25), when Bosnia and Herzegovina declared Monday, March 2, 2020, as a day in lieu non-working public holiday in Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Since this year the 1 March falls on Sunday, and given the importance of this public holiday, the FBiH Government has issued a Decision declaring the next business day non-working in the Federation of BiH").
The aforementioned announcement of Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, 2020, as public holidays in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is in line with the list of official public holidays in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the current calendar year (2020-01-13).
