The Federal Government of Brazil, through its Ministério do Planejamento, Desenvolvimento e Gestão, has gazetted the annual list of the official Brazilian non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2020 (PORTARIA 679 ME, DE 30-12-2019 (DO-U, Edição Extra, de 31-12-2019)).
This aforementioned list of the official Brazilian non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2020 ("Ficam divulgados os dias de feriados nacionais e estabelecidos os dias de ponto facultativo no ano de 2020, para cumprimento pelos órgãos e entidades da Administração Pública federal direta, autárquica e fundacional do Poder Executivo, sem prejuízo da prestação dos serviços considerados essenciais"), was announced, earlier this year (2019-09-21), and once again (2018-11-28, 2017-11-18, 2016-01-05, 2015-02-04, 2015-01-18 and 2014-01-06) confirms the dates of the Easter-related public holidays with, this year again (2014-01-06 and 2013-01-04) a return observance for Good Friday.
