Dominican Republic Public Holiday February 16 and May 17

The Ministry of Labor of the Dominican Republic has issued a communique announcing that, as per the provisions of electoral law, Sunday, February 16, and Sunday, May 17, 2020, would be an official non-working electoral public holidays in the Dominican Republic.
The aforementioned announcement ("El Ministerio de Trabajo informa a toda la colectividad empresarial y trabajadora de la República Dominicana que el domingo 16 de febrero y el 17 de mayo, del año en curso, días en que se celebran las elecciones municipales, congresuales y presidenciales, respectivamente, no son laborables") is in line with article 211 of the electoral law 15-19, and past tradition (2016-05-06, 2012-05-16 and 2008-05-14), though it does amend the list of 2020 public holidays in the Dominican Republic (2019-11-10).
