The Ministry of Labour of the Dominican Republic has issued a communique reminding the public and private sectors that Sunday, March 15, 2020, the day of the upcoming extraordinary municipal elections, is a non-working public holiday in the Dominican Republic.
The aforementioned March 15, 2020, public holiday amends the list of non-working public holidays in the Dominican Republic for the upcoming calendar year 2020, as announced by the Secretary of State for Labour, last autumn (2019-11-10), as was the case, last month (2020-02-10), when the Ministry of Labor of the Dominican Republic similarly issued a communique announcing that Sunday, February 16, and Sunday, May 17, 2020, would be an official non-working electoral public holidays in the Dominican Republic.
