The Fiji Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations has announced that the Governing Cabinet of Fiji had approved the annual list of the dates of official non-working public holidays in Fiji for the upcoming calendar year 2021, having "consulted stakeholders on the dates".
The aforementioned list of non-working public holidays in Fiji for the upcoming calendar year 2021 also confirms the most recently added annual Fiji public holiday, namely Constitution Day (2015-08-27), though National Sports and Wellness Day has been excluded from the aforementioned list of 2021 public holidays in Fiji, once again (2019-09-11).
That reduction in the number of Fiji's official public holidays followed the 2010 cancellation of the National Youth Day and Ratu Sukuna Day public holidays (2010-03-21 and 2010-05-24) which itself followed the 2003 cancellation of the Fiji public holiday for Prince Charles' Birthday (2003-06-11).
