The Minister of Administration du territoire et de la Décentralisation of the Government of Guinea Conakry, General Bouréma Condé, has announced that Tuesday, December 15, 2020, had been declared as a one-off non-working public holiday in Guinea Conakry on account of the upcoming inauguration of recently-re-elected Guinean president, Alpha Condé ("J’ai l’autorisation de mon collègue Ministre de la Fonction Publique de la Réforme de l’Etat et de la Modernisation de l’Administration pour déclarer la date du 15 Décembre, fériée, chômée et payée sur toute l’étendue du territoire national.").

Contrary to other similar announcements (2020-10-28 and 2020-05-18), the aforementioned announcement that Tuesday, December 15, 2020, had been declared as a one-off non-working public holiday in Guinea Conakry, is in addition to last January's government of Guinea Conakry announcement (2020-01-13) of its list of 2020 non-working public holidays (jours chômés et payés) in the Republic of Guinea Conakry.

Five years ago (2015-12-10), the Government of Guinea Conakry similarly announced that Monday, December 14, 2015, had been declared as another one-off non-working public holiday in Guinea Conakry on account of the upcoming inauguration of recently-re-elected Guinean president, Alpha Condé.

Five years again before that (2010-12-13), the government of Guinea Conakry, through an announcement by Mariama Penda Diallo Bah, the ministre d'Etat en charge de la Fonction Publique, de la Réforme Administrative du Travail et de l'Emploi, had similarly declared a one-off, non-working, public holiday (journée chômée et payée) on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, on account of that day's inauguration of then President-Elect, Alpha Condé.
