India - Haryana Amends 2020 Public Holidays

The Government of India's state of Haryana has declared Sunday, March 1st, 2020, as a one-off non-working public holiday "for all factories under Factories Act, 1948", on account of the by-elections of Ward No. 19 of Municipal Corporation, Hisar, Ward No. 03 of Municipal Committee, Baswani Khera (Bhiwani).

The aforementioned announcement of a public holiday in India's state of Haryana, on the date of upcoming by-elections, thus amends the list of "the days which will be non-working public holidays" in India's state of Haryana for the calendar year 2020, as set out in the Haryana Government vide notification No.28/67 /2018-3GSII covering General Holidays, Restricted Holidays, and Holidays declared under N.I. Act, 1881, released late last year (2019-12-05).
