The Government of India's state of Punjab has declared a one-off public holiday for the 350th birth anniversary of Baba Banda Singh Bhadhur, on Friday, October 16, 2020 ("All the offices of board, corporation, educational institutes etc will be closed on October 16, 2020").

The aforementioned notification that Friday, October 16, 2020, would be a public holiday in the Indian state of Punjab, to mark the 350th anniversary of Baba Banda Singh Bhadhur, thus further amends (2020-04-12 and 2020-04-07) the previously-released annual list of "the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2020", as contained in the notification issued by the Government of Punjab, covering Government Holidays and Restricted Holidays in India's state of Punjab for the calendar year 2020, late last year (2019-12-23).

That initial list of 2020 public holidays in the Indian state of Punjab had been amended twice, last April, once when the the restricted holiday on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, on the occasion of birthday of Sri Guru Nabha Das, was made into an additional gazetted public holiday (2020-04-07), and soon after, when the gazetted public holiday for Baisakhi, on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, was moved to the eve of the Baisakhi, on Tuesday, April 13, 2020 (2020-04-12).
