The Iraqi Parliament approved a bill which will make Christmas Day, on December 25, as an annual public holiday in Iraq ("national holiday with an annual frequency").
Over the years (2018-12-23 and 2013-12-24), December 25 had become an almost de facto annual public holiday in Iraq, with the Iraqi Cabinet regularly declaring December 25 as a one-off public holiday.
