Israeli Electoral Public Holiday March 23

Source: Press Releases from the Central Elections Committee of Israel (Tel Aviv)
Posted: Wednesday, December 23, 2020

Israel will go to the polls again on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, a date that will automatically become a public holiday in Israel.

The aforementioned declaration of Tuesday, March 23, 2021, as an electoral public holiday in Israel, thus amends the list of 2021 bank holidays and public holidays of Israel, as released last spring (2020-05-22).

As per Article 10 of the Knesset law, election days are still public holidays in Israel (2009-01-27), despite attempts to the contrary by the Speaker of the Knesset, Dalia Itzik, a many years ago (2008-11-16).
