The Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, Ziad Farid, has issued the Memorandum 10/2/13846 26/2020 which announces a bank holiday on Thursday, October 29, 2020, on account of the annual public holiday for Mawlid al-Nabawi al-Sharif (Prophet Mohammad's birthday).
Today's announcement follows a similar one, earlier this week (2020-10-22), when the Jordanian Cabinet has announced that this year's annual Prophet's Birthday public holiday of Jordan would be observed on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
The Memorandum 10/2/13846 26/2020 is in line with the list of religious and national non-working public holidays and bank holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2020, as released a year ago (2019-09-17).
