Peruvian 2020 Public Holidays Reduction Gazetted

The Peruvian government has published the Decreto Supremo N° 125-2020-PCM que modifica el artículo 1 del Decreto Supremo N° 197-2019-PCM in the official gazette of Peru (El Peruano), officializing the recent announcement by Peruvian president, Martín Vizcarra, that the upcoming Fiestas Patrias public holidays would be reduced in number for the calendar year 2020.

Recall that, last week (2020-07-03), Peruvian president, Martín Vizcarra, had announced the cancellation the 3rd day of upcoming Fiestas Patrias public holidays, thus amending the list of 2020 public holidays in Peru, as contained in the Decreto Supremo Nº 197-2019-PCM, gazetted by the Peruvian government, late last year (2019-12-21), and which expanded the list of 2020 public holidays in Peru.
