Posted: Wednesday, November 25, 2020

The Union Territory of Puducherry has issued the notification Order G.O.Ms. No. 92 declaring tomorrow, Thursday, November 26, 2020, as another one-off public holiday in Puducherry on account of Cyclone Nivar ("Home Order - Declaration of Holiday on 26th November, 2020 on account of Nivar Cyclone").

The aforementioned declaration of Thursday, November 26, 2020, as another public holiday in Puducherry, follows yesterday's declaration of Wednesday, November 25, 2020, as a public holiday in Puducherry (2020-11-24), and mirrors a similar announcement made yesterday by India's state of Tamil Nadu (2020-11-24), and further amends the Government of India's Union Territory of Puducherry's announced list of official state non-working public holidays in India's Union Territory of Puducherry for the calendar year 2020, as released last year (2019-10-26) in the G.O. Ms. No. 79, Puducherry, dated 25th October 2019.

Note that, in a manner similar to what was done yesterday, when Wednesday, November 25, 2020, was declared a public holiday in Puducherry, Saturday, December 19, 2020, has been declared a compensatory working Saturday in the Union Territory of Puducherry.
