Qatar 2020 Eid Al Adha Public Holidays Announced

Qatar's Emiri Diwan has extended the 2020 public sector holidays, for ministries, government departments, general authorities and institutions, for the upcoming Eid Al Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holidays.

As per the aforementioned announcement, public sector holidays, for ministries, other government departments, authorities and public institutions, for the upcoming Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) "Thursday July 30, 2020 and ends on Thursday August 6, 2020. Employees are to resume work on Sunday August 9, 2020".

Qatar often extends its annual Eid public sector holidays (2020-05-17, 2019-08-07, 2019-05-28, 2018-08-16, 2017-08-29, 2017-06-21, 2016-09-05, 2016-06-28, 2015-09-21, 2015-07-09, 2014-10-01, 2014-07-23, 2013-10-10, 2012-10-15, 2012-08-14, 2012-08-04, 2011-08-24, 2010-08-09 and 2008-09-17), but not systematically (2009-09-18).

The Qatar Central Bank (QCB), as well as Qatari banks and financial institutions and the Qatar Exchange will, as usual, make a separate announcement ("HE the Governor of Qatar Central Bank shall specify the start and the end of the holiday").
