The Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labour (Matagaluega о Pisinisi, Alamanuia ma Leipa - MCIL), in a public notice signed by the Chief Executive Officer, Putlotu Lупdоп Chu Liпg, has announced that "the public, government agencies, and the private sector are hereby advised that Monday, 1st of June 2019 [sic] is to be treated as a Public Holiday in commemoration of our 58th year of Independence.".
The aforementioned announcement, minus the typo referring to 2019, rather than 2020, is in line with the list of 2020-2023 public holidays in Samoa, as announced by the government of Samoa, late last year (2019-11-30).
