Seychelles' President, Danny Faure, has issued a proclamation, in accordance with Section 5 of the Public Holidays Act, declaring Saturday, October 24, 2020, as a one-off non-working public holiday in the Seychelles, on account of the upcoming Presidential and National Assembly elections in the Seychelles.

Public holidays are routinely declared in the Seychelles for elections (2015-12-01, 2006-10-13, 2011-05-19, and 2007-05-08), and the aforementioned declaration of Saturday, October 24, 2020, as a one-off non-working public holiday in the Seychelles, on account of the upcoming Presidential and National Assembly elections, is in addition to the previously-released list of annual non-working public holidays in the Seychelles as announced by the government of the Seychelles, at the beginning of this year (2020-01-13 and 2020-01-05).
