Earlier today, the Government of the Indian State of Sikkim declared Tuesday, November 10, 2020, as a one-off state public holiday on account of the funeral rites for the former Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Sanchaman Limboo.

During the past decade, the state of Sikkim has on occasion declared one-off public holidays, t mark the death of local, or neighboring, former politicians (2012-09-25 and 2011-04-24).

The declaration of Tuesday, November 10, 2020, as a one-off state public holiday thus amends the list of 2020 Sikkim public holidays, as released by the government of the state of Sikkim, late last year (2019-11-03).
