St Vincent and the Grenadines August Public Holidays Officialized

The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, has announced that the move of the 2020 CARICOM Day and Carnival Day public holidays to Monday and Tuesday, August 3rd and 4th, 2020, had been officialized, through statutory rule and order 21 of 2020 pursuant to the Public Holidays Act.

Last month (2020-05-14), Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves had announced that Monday and Tuesday, August 3rd and 4th, 2020, had been declared as public holidays in St Vincent and the Grenadines, as compensation for the cancellation of the Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday public holidays, set on July 6th and 7th, 2020, in the official list of bank holidays and non-working public holidays in St Vincent and the Grenadines for the calendar years 2020, as released earlier this year (2020-01-20), in accordance with the Public Holidays Act (Cap.206) and subsequent Public Holidays (Amendment) Bill, 2001 (2001-12-20, 2001-11-13, 2001-10-17 and 2001-01-11).
