The Chief Minister of the Government of India's state of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K Palaniswami, has declared a de facto second day of statewide public holiday, on Thursday, November 26, 2020, once again on account of cyclone Nivar ("after inspecting Chembarambakkam lake, Tamil Nadu CM declared public holiday tomorrow in 13 districts where cyclone Nivar is expected to have an impact").
The aforementioned declaration of a second statewide public holiday, on Thursday, November 26, 2020, in Tamil Nadu, thus further amends (2020-11-24) the list of Tamil Nadu non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2020 (G.O.Ms.No.762 - "Holidays - Public Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 for the State Government Offices and all Commercial Banks including Co-operative Banks in Tamil Nadu for the year 2020 - Orders issued.") as released a year ago (2019-10-23).
