Thailand's Central Bank has announced that it had decided to declare a bank holiday on Monday, July 27, 2020, for banks and financial institutions in Thailand, in line with the recent declaration of July 25-28 compensatory Songkran public holidays by the government of Thailand.
Earlier this week (2020-06-30), the Thai cabinet declared Monday, July 27, 2020, as a one-off bridge public holiday in Thailand to compensate one of the Songkran public holidays canceled last spring due to Covid-19 (2020-03-16), thus amending the previously-released list of 2020 public holidays in Thailand (2019-07-31).
An earlier declaration by the Thai cabinet of extra public holidays for Asarnha Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent (2020-06-23), on July 7, 2020, was followed by neither the Thailand's Central Bank, nor by banks and financial institutions in Thailand.
