The UAE government has confirmed that there would be no public holiday for Israa Wal Miraj (Rajab 27) in the calendar year 2020.
The aforementioned confirmation is in line with last year's (2019-03-05) decision by the UAE government of its annual list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE for the calendar years 2019 and 2020 which superseded any past announcements (2018-01-08, 2017-01-03, 2015-12-26, 2015-01-04, 2014-01-07 and 2012-12-29), bringing the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE private sector in line with the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE public sector.
However, the Prophet's Birthday was later added as a public holiday in 2019 (2019-09-08).
