Argentina Officializes 2022 Census Public Holiday

The date of the upcoming 2022 Population Census in Argentina, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, has been declared a non-working public holiday in Argentina.

The upcoming 2022 Population Census in Argentina, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, was announced last summer (2021-08-27).

At that time, it was assumed that that date would be declared a non-working public holiday in Argentina, as was done on past occasions.

A decade ago (2010-01-17), Argentina's President, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, declared the date of the upcoming national census, on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, as a national non-working public holiday, via the the executive decree No. 67/2010.

The preceding such census, officially called the "Censo Nacional de Población, Hogares y Viviendas", was held in November 2001.
