The Government of India's state of Assam has issued the Government Order GAG(A).206/2013/129 declaring a restricted public holiday on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, on the occasion of Uruka, the feasting day which precedes the previously-gazetted public holiday of Magh Bihu on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
The aforementioned announcement that the Government of India's state of Assam had declared a restricted public holiday on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, is in addition to the list of Assam 2021 public holidays listed late last year, in the Government Notification No.GAG(A).81/2016/637 (2020-12-18).
Concomitantly, the Government of Assam also issued the Government Order GAG(A).206/2013/128 moving the Magh Bihu Assam bank holiday from its previously-set date of Friday, January 15, 2021, to Thursday, January 14, 2021.
