Bahrain National Day Public Holidays Extended Until December 19

Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad AI Khalifa, has issued a circular declaring Thursday and Friday, December 16 and 17, 2021, as public holidays for government ministries, entities and public establishments, on account of the upcoming National Day and the anniversary of HM the King's accession to the Throne.

The aforementioned announcement that Thursday and Friday, December 16 and 17, 2021, had been declared as public holidays in Bahrain, was supplemented by the mention that "Sunday will also be a public holiday in compensation for Friday, already a day off.", as per custom (2021-04-26, 2020-04-28, 2019-04-29, 2018-04-29, 2017-04-29, 2015-04-27, 2014-04-30, 2014-01-10, 2013-12-13, 2013-11-12, and 2013-11-02).

Recall that Bahrain observes Friday and Saturday as weekly days of rest (2006-08-02).
